Treasure Hunt Box uses the information needed to create, save, protect, and deliver your digital Adventure. This page describes the current launch product in plain language.
Information we may process
Depending on how you use the service, Treasure Hunt Box may process:
• account email and authentication information through Clerk
• child or crew names entered by the parent or adult user
• ages entered for Adventure personalization
• the selected Adventure theme and occasion
• custom locations entered by the parent or adult user
• route and map configuration
• generated clues and Victory Reward text
• saved Adventure content
• purchase and unlock status
• the email used for a purchase, for purchase fulfillment and customer access recovery
Anonymous Adventures use a private Adventure token for access. Account Adventures are associated with the signed-in account that saves them. Purchase email is not used for marketing or automatic subscriptions.
Service providers
Clerk provides authentication. Shopify and its payment providers handle checkout and payment processing. Treasure Hunt Box does not store full card or payment details. Resend sends transactional recovery emails only; recovery emails do not include tracking pixels. OpenAI may provide AI-assisted clue generation. PostHog provides privacy-limited product analytics. Meta may provide optional advertising measurement on limited, non-personalized parts of the site. Approved Meta events are limited to public homepage viewing, starting the Adventure builder, initiating checkout, and completing a purchase. Checkout and purchase events use only a fixed value of $14.99 and currency code USD. Treasure Hunt Box does not intentionally send Meta child information, names, email addresses, Adventure content, private tokens, account IDs, order IDs, or payment details. Hosting and database infrastructure support the operation of Treasure Hunt Box.
Analytics privacy
Product analytics is limited to allowlisted, privacy-safe event categories. Analytics does not receive child names, raw ages, account emails, custom locations, clue text, Victory Reward text, map contents or coordinates, private Adventure tokens, Shopify order IDs, or payment details.
Optional Meta measurement is limited to PageView and StartBuilder on eligible public-homepage visits and generic InitiateCheckout and Purchase events on temporary, non-personalized measurement pages. For eligible public-page visits from ads, Meta may process a validated Meta click identifier, such as fbclid, together with limited browser or device information associated with the request for measurement and attribution. Treasure Hunt Box does not use Meta Advanced Matching and does not intentionally send personalized Adventure content or customer identity data to Meta.
Meta Pixel is not loaded on personalized Adventure, account, recovery, printable, PDF, unlocked Adventure, or personalized checkout-return pages. Optional analytics can be disabled using the site's analytics preference control, and Global Privacy Control is honored.
Retention and requests
Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain purchases and saved Adventures, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service.
